3 Simple Steps to Being More Feminine: How to Be the Woman You Want to Be

Up until college, I wouldn't call myself feminine. I wasn't living a feminine lifestyle, I had little to no effort into my looks, and believed that I was equal to a man in every way. I also wasn’t dating anyone which bothered me. I remember being part of small bible study on campus, and having young men attend, we’d have good chemistry during the bible study but nothing ever happened. I reminded myself that my partner will love me for me so I didn’t need to worry. Thankfully, I learned from that mistake fast.

After college, I decided to dive deeper into my Christianity and femininity. I changed my lifestyle, lost weight, and focused more on seeking God, developing inner peace and being softer. What I’ve come to learn is that by growing in my femininity, I began to focus on developing traits that enhanced my womanhood, allowing me to stand apart from other women. And went from being pursued by no one to being pursued by multiple men. At the same time. CRAZY

So I share this story with you to encourage you. Not every woman wants to be feminine, and if that's not you, thank you for reading. But for those who do want to be more feminine, it can change your life.

Here are 3 Simple Steps!

  1. Be Gracious: A gracious woman is someone who has a kind heart and shows compassion towards others. You don’t have to be besties with everyone, but try to be cordial and respectful. A gracious woman is also humble. She knows her worth and doesn’t boast or brag about herself. Rather, she is secure in herself that she is able to be gracious to others. Be loving, be patient, kind, and takes the time to listen.
  2. Pamper Yourself. This is so important. Being feminine is also about taking time to pamper yourself. I'm using that word on purpose because I want you to think of yourself as a luxury not a commodity. You deserve to pamper yourself, rest and recharge. Get a massage, do your nails, put effort into your appearance. In fact, I'd challenge you to start by not wear anything black, gray, or navy blue for 1 week. Opt for colors that enhances your tone and figure. And when in doubt, beige is a nice neutral. Invest in your mind through books, podcasts and even learning a new skill. Invest in your spiritual journey. Most importantly, learn to love yourself and develop that inner confidence. Note, this does mean that you will need to purge negative mindset and toxic values, beliefs, and systems at all cost.
  3. Soften up. When you think of the word feminine, what comes to mind? “Soft” is often used to describe femininity. And being soft doesn’t mean you’re weak. In fact, it takes a strong woman to be soft. It’s about being tender-hearted, compassionate, and empathetic. These three things are a great foundation for becoming more feminine. As you focus on these areas, you’ll begin to see other areas of your life change as well. Your relationships will blossom, you’ll be more in tune with your intuition, and you’ll find yourself being more graceful. So those are three simple steps to becoming more feminine: Be gracious, beautify and pamper yourself, and soften up. As you focus on these areas, you'll begin to see other areas of your life change as well. Give it a try and let me know how it goes! Do you have any tips on how to be more feminine?
